On a coloured background draw the shape of a bird.
Apply Create Gradient Mesh to it.
Change the opacity to 50%.
Drop colour into different sections using colour families or similar colours.
Make a wing having the similar colour of the background. Change it’s opacity to 20% and the layer mode to Colour Burn.
Draw the legs using the Pen tool.
With the Elliptical tool make the eye.
Duplicate and flip the bird. Move to the left. Since it is transparent the beaks will overlap.
With the Pen tool draw a line for the text on a new layer.
On the Path tool use Type to type in the text.
Then duplicate the text, move it and change its colour.
